Disarm, Dismantle, and Abolish Nuclear Weapons Now!
At Lanterns for Peace this year, we will commemorate the horrible suffering caused by the dropping of the atomic bombs by the US on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
We demand reparations for the Indigenous and Latinx people who were the victims of the first nuclear bomb test in New Mexico, the Western Shoshone, the people of the Marshall Islands, and the victims of hundreds of nuclear bomb test explosions.
We decry the poisoning of Navajo uranium miners, with inadequate protection provided in the mines. These racist, environmental injustices have resulted in cancers, miscarriages, leukemia, deformed babies, and other radiation caused diseases that continue to affect people.
Never Again!
